From the Organizer
CelticFest Mississippi is the main outgrowth of the Celtic Heritage Society’s mission to promote awareness and appreciation of the music, dance, and culture from the Celtic Nations. We feature the best in Traditional Irish & Scottish musicians & dancers and seek to educate & celebrate our shared ancestry from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, Isle of Man, Cornwall and Galicia- the recognized Celtic Nations which still have a native Celtic language & culture. The Celtic Heritage Society (CHS) is a nonprofit organization run on 100% volunteer power. The CHS has no paid staff, and money raised at CelticFest pays the costs incurred while organizing the event. For the first 25 years CelticFest Mississippi was held in September but beginning with the 2018 festival we happily moved to the cooler temperatures in the Spring! Join us the Third Weekend in March every year on the grounds of the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum in Jackson, MS. It’s state property, is wheelchair accessible, and is an idyllic spot. All museum buildings are open until 5:00 pm on Saturday and included in the admission price.
