El Día del Salvadoreno USA is the most important event among the Salvadoran community in the USA, This celebration is in an effort to maintain the culture, customs and traditions of El Salvador and to share it with new generation to come. This celebration started in 1999, and it was officially recognized by the United States congress with a resolution H.R.721 Of the House of Representatives on July 18, 2006, declaring August 6 as El Día del Salvadoreno Americano. The Salvadoran community is the second largest in the state of California. Festival includes, FREE ADMISION, live music, food booths, information booths, mechanical rides, procession, art and craft, traditional religious moment, Live Transfiguration of the Divine Savior of the world.
