ABOUT US The guiding force behind the Houston Creole Heritage Festival & Mardi Gras Parade is Houston S.H.O.P., Inc.; a non-profit organization founded in 2005. S.H.O.P. Ministries’ objectives are to provide academic scholarships, job opportunities, enhance educational programs across the State of Texas, and to establish a benevolence fund for families in need. MISSION STATEMENT Sweet Hour of Prayer Ministries, Inc. (S.H.O.P.) is a non-denominational Faith Based Organization (FBO), dedicated to providing educational and entrepreneurial opportunities (through scholarships) to youth. We provide families in our community, who are experiencing economic hardships, by providing affordable financial assistance and for a dignified funeral services for their loved ones.
