The Venue
KAABOO Del Mar takes place on the historic Del Mar Racetrack & Fairgrounds along the coast, just north of San Diego. When the place isn’t riddled with smiling festival-goers and extraordinary artists, you can find lively horse racing or the raucous, family-filled San Diego County Fair. KAABOO takes place during the best time of the year in terms of weather, when it’s usually sunny and 75 degrees F. While you dance to your favorite music, feel the sea breeze rustle your hair.
AMPLIFY
While General Admission passes include entrance into the festival as well as access to all the awesome amenities, attendees are able to amplify their experience by purchasing one of the three VIP levels:
Hang Five includes access to the Thursday Night Sneak Peek Party, premium viewing areas at each stage, expedited entrance to the fest, private restrooms and exclusive food options in dedicated AMPLIFY zones.
Hang Ten includes all Hang Five extras plus front row viewing areas (so you can see the sweat drip down your favorite artist’s forehead), an on-stage viewing platform, on-site hosts and personal concierge service, access to the Artist Lounge, Meet & Greets, complimentary food, beverages, parking and access to BASK as well as golf cart transportation around the venue.
Ultimate Hang encompasses all the above with additional front-and-center viewing areas, an exceptionally private backstage lounge and tour bus, priority access to events and preferred seating, car service to and from the festival, swag bags, and complimentary food and beverages anywhere within the festival.
BASK
Pack your swimsuits and soak in style at BASK, an on-site pool club chock full of DJ sets, cocktails, exclusive cabanas, and an excellent view of the Grandview Stage. Reservations required to enter BASK. Complimentary access only given to attendees with a 3-Day Hang Ten pass.
Club Elevate
Just because the music stops doesn’t mean you have to. Club Elevate is located on festival grounds and open from 9 pm to 1 am on Friday and Saturday of the festival; finally, a festival that hosts after parties on its own grounds. Here, free-flowing cocktails and bass-heavy DJs keep the party going into the wee hours of the morning. Attendees must be 18 years or older to enter Club Elevate.
Getting There
Coming from out-of-state? Fly into San Diego International Airport. If you don’t want to bother with a parking pass or struggle to find parking on your own, use a rideshare service or public transportation to get to the venue.
For only $12 a day (probably less than your Uber will be) you can purchase a day pass for the North Country Transit District (NCTD) and Metro Transportation System (MTS) which will get you to and from the festival grounds. Bring cash to take the Solana Beach Shuttle that runs from the Solana Beach station to the festival gates for $5 each way.
Lodging
Lodging accommodations are plentiful in San Diego including hotels, motels, Airbnbs, Couchsurfing.com arrangements, campgrounds, etc. KAABOO partners with nearby hotels to waive fees for their attendees by booking through their KAABOO’s official website under the “Lodging” tab. They even allow attendees to pay for their rooms through a payment plan (along with their tickets)!
Parental Guidance
Minors are allowed to attend the event accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Discounted Hang Loose children’s passes are available for children between the ages of 3 and 10. Children under 2 are free and ear protection is highly recommended. KAABOO is curated for adults so be wary of mature content unsuitable for children. Leaving the kids at home might be a better option to truly enjoy the weekend.
