The LVBFF is primarily organized to celebrate the works of Black Filmmakers from all over the world. Making a Black Impact on the Big Screen! AND Now... our festival continues to receive overwhelming positive responses from independent filmmakers, filmActors and filmLOVERS from DIVERSE ethnic backgrounds across the Nation, ... As the FOUNDER of this Magnificent Event ... I am proud to announce that our Annual Las Vegas Black Film Festival proudly welcomes INTERNATIONAL films from ALL over the WORLD. The Las Vegas Black Film Festival is an Award Winning State Proclaimed Festival that ignites the independent film market and gives emerging filmmakers from around the world a platform to display their talents. Taking place in Fabulous Las Vegas known as the Entertainment Capital of the World.... the event is set to host more than 2000 eager moviegoers, filmmakers and entertainment professionals seeking rising stars. NOBODY DOES IT LIKE LAS VEGAS! Those who have been honored at the festival include Antonio Fargas, affectionately known as "Huggy Bear" from the hit 70's television show Starsky and Hutch, Academy Award Winner, Acting Legend, Louis Gossett Jr. & Irma P. Hall Joining attending celebrities have included Actor Tommy Ford from the Hit Sitcom Martin, Omar Gooding, LEON Robinson, William Johnson, Sherry Gordy ... and many more. Winners of the Las Vegas Black Film Festival will be adorned with much more than just honors and applause. All awarded filmmakers will automatically qualify for a distribution deal, Cash Prizes & Awards. If you are a Producer with a Film that is Written, Produced, Directed by or Features an African American in the Lead Role, we welcome you to submit, compete and celebrate with us.
