Getting There
Louis Armstrong Park is just a stone’s throw away from the French Quarter. If you’re coming from out of town, all you need to do is book a flight to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. From there, take a rideshare to the park or take the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) bus route No. 91, which passes in front of Armstrong. There’s also a bicycle valet where you can park your bicycle for free.
Lodging
You’re pretty much right next to the French Quarter and other NOLA hotspots. You’ll have no trouble finding a hotel or Airbnb here.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation
Known for sponsoring many successful festivals throughout the year, like the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival and the Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival, the Jazz & Heritage Foundation created the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival to support musicians and other locals affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
