How good and how pleasant it would be before GOD and man, to see the unification of all Africans. (Robert Nesta Marley) The unification of the people of Nigeria and all Africans, is the mission of Music Africa Awake and The Nigeria Reggae Festival. Bob Marley said it, so let it be done. The Festival is a three days event starting from September 29th to 1st of October 2018 in Awka Anambra State, Nigeria. On 29th of September a seminar with the university of the west indies and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and other speakers coming from music and copyright organization, will be educating Nigerians/Africans upcoming artist on the topic “MUSIC AS A BUSINESS “and also how to collect their royalties. On 29th of September Seminar will start 10am and by 12pm. There will be a tea break and by 1pm they will be a lunch Break, then by 2pm the seminar will round up and they will be a still photo section. On 30th of September Musicians will have the opportunity to tell Nigerians/Africans the importance of unity and one love and we’ll also invite important speakers to throw more light on why Africans must be united and love one another. The South Africa artist will now talk more about the xenophobic attack and why we must eradicate it in Africa. As the founder of Music Africa Awake “Prince Emeka Ojukwu” and the Originator of the Nigeria Reggae Festival is living in South Africa, we plan to do a short documentary of our South African brothers living in Nigeria of how we have been taking care of them partner with SABC (South African Broadcasting Cooperation) to showcase documentary to enable us to strengthen our relationship with South Africa and other Africa State. On the 30th from 2pm musicians and speakers will start giving speech till 4pm, from 4pm till 6pm award will be giving to past and present reggae musicians that have shaped the reggae industry to where is it today. From 6pm to 8pm they will be a Banquets dinner with live band performance. On the 1st of October is the main event from 12pm till late. From 12pm Vendors will showcase reggae product, African Food, African atiyers with the selectors Playing there Dubs and DJs. Live Performance will start by 2pm till late night with MC’s and beat of Dj if required as you may like to know the festival is wrapped up with a Tour.
