Tickets v. Packages—which one should I get?
If you’re just looking to wander the festival grounds and hit up the different food vendors to satisfy your lobster cravings, get tickets just for admission only. But if you’re ready to unleash your inner lobster-feasting beast, get one of the meal packages, which includes either GA or VIP admission into the festival. You can always add on an additional meal a la carte or get something delicious from the food vendors if you’re still hungry afterward.
The fun doesn’t have to end!
The fun doesn’t have to stop when the festival ends. Held at Rainbow Lagoon, the Original Lobster Festival sits right across from Shoreline Village, a centre filled with casual and fine dining options, boutiques, and arcade games at the Pelican Pier Pavillion. From Rainbow Lagoon, The Pike Outlets is a short walk away with plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment from which to choose. The Aquarium of the Pacific isn’t too far off either!
Pro-Tip
Bring a picnic blanket you can easily roll up and carry. Rainbow Lagoon is a lush, grassy venue with lots of shady trees. If the picnic tables get a little full (or messy), you can always find yourself a more spacious area to roll out your blanket, enjoy your tasty lobster eats and treats, and let the kids run around!
Coming in from out of town?
The Original Lobster Festival sits right in the heart of Long Beach and suggests many nearby hotels . If you’re looking for an all-out experience, book accommodations aboard The Queen Mary, a luxury 1936 ocean-liner-turned-hotel.
