"The ultimate indie film festival." - City Arts "One of the premier festivals in the Northwest." - Post Defiance 12 YEARS STRONG Established in 2006, The annual Tacoma Film Festival shares the best of contemporary independent film and media, with special emphasis on stories from the Pacific Northwest. TFF's lively week of films, workshops, events, and discussions is a unique blending of audience and industry programming, empowering all who attend to connect with creators and explore the film industry. EMERGENT FILMMAKERS TFF is the host of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film. Our festival is the only one in the world to feature these internationally recognized, up-and-coming filmmakers as a group where they screen their work and share their experiences with our community. These creators go on to incredible careers; past 25NFs include Ryan Coogler, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Hilary Swank, Heidi Ewing, Rachel Grad, Jenny Slate, Ryan Gosling, Lucy Walker, Julia Garner, Lena Dunham, Ellen Page, and The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert).
