Light the fire and sound the cannons! The 34th annual Texian Market Days festival is set for Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond, Texas. Discover more than 150 years of Texas history with hands-on activities, battle re-enactments, music and entertainment, historic home tours, cowboys, food, artisan vendors and more! Four different historic sites anchor the festival: - 1830s Jones Stock Farm, which demonstrates pioneer life of Stephen F. Austin's "Old 300" settlers; - 1860s Ryon Prairie Home, which gives visitors a glimpse into life during Civil War-era Texas; - 1890s Davis Victorian Mansion, a beautifully-ornate original historic home with a working blacksmith shop and Sharecropper's cabin; - 1930s George Cattle Complex, the George family's original turn-of-the-century ranch home, complete with cattle pens and a giant treehouse.
