From the Organizer

THE TRAIL The Travis Heights Art Trail, THAT, was created in 2002 by two Travis Height’s artists. Charlotte Bell has been the primary organizer of the art trail since it’s beginning. The Art Trail consists of 35 – 46 artists who open their homes and studios once a year on the first full weekend in November. This weekend event creates a conversation with the community about the life style of working artists. It also provides a venue for artists to display and sell their art. Taking place in the beautiful neighborhood of Travis Heights people some to walk the tree lined streets have lunch at one of the area restaurants and enjoy the houses and studios of the talented artists. The trail also has a literary house featuring local authors with readings and books for sale. Each year we also help a school. For the last 2 years the Ann RIchards school has participated. The students have the opportunity to have a hands on experience in selling their art. Preparation for the future. It has become a yearly beloved event for all the people of Austin.
