Getting There
Louis Armstrong Park is basically across the street from the French Quarter in the Tremé neighborhood of New Orleans. Book a flight to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, and then take a rideshare to the festival.
Lodging
You’re right across the street from the French Quarter. There are dozens of hotels there and pretty much anywhere else you look in New Orleans.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation
Known for sponsoring many successful festivals throughout the year, like the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival and the Louisiana Cajun Zydeco Festival, the Jazz & Heritage Foundation created the Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival to support musicians and other locals affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Arts Market
Take some time to explore the large art market in the park, and bring some cash with you in case you stumble across a piece that truly speaks to you.
