San Diego Festivals 2024 - 2025 Calendar

What's Not to Love About Festivals in San Diego

San Diego lives up to the moniker of “America’s Finest City,” boasting pristine beaches, perpetually clement weather that’s perfect for year-round revelry, great seafood and a rich culinary scene, ocean athletics, cultural diversity and many other Southern California comforts. As the eighth largest city in the U.S., the urban setting and commitment to the arts makes the festival culture in San Diego vibrant and bustling. From premier music festivals like the Dixieland Jazz Festival to California’s biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration to the largest comic book convention in the world, San Diego’s Comic Con, the city’s laid back SoCal attitude is a breeding ground for some fantastically fun affairs.

Top San Diego Festivals

Comic-Con International
This legendary geekfest takes place at the San Diego Convention Center, attracting thousands of cosplayers, industry stars and pop culture enthusiasts ever year. It’s always jam-packed with celebrity autograph signings, film screenings, costume competitions and up to 600 other separate events over the course of four days.

CRSSD Festival
One of the more intimate dance music festivals, CRSSD succeeds by offering a scaled-down, yet incredibly festive experience. Set in San Diego’s scenic Waterfront Park, the festival captures SoCal vibes with energetic EDM sets, late-night after-parties and plenty of local food, all under constantly sunny skies.

KAABOO Del Mar
Nestled just outside of San Diego on the historic Del Mar Racetrack & Fairgrounds along the coast, Kaaboo welcomes a huge variety of music performances across three stages from rock n’ roll to hip-hop and pop music sensations. People also indulge in mouth-watering local cuisine and hilarious stand-up performances.

San Diego Taco Fest
It may not be Texas, but San Diego knows a thing or two about making delicious tacos. Look no further than the San Diego Taco Fest at Waterfront Park, where you can sample the best tacos from over 30 San Diego restaurants, groove to live music and watch Lucha Libre wrestling matches.

San Diego Pride
This colorful, three-phase pride celebration promotes love and acceptance for the LGBT community throughout downtown San Diego. There’s a lively block party, a mile-long parade and a two-day concert with more than 200 music acts, drag performances and art exhibits.

Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo
It’s the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in Southern California, and that means you should do everything in power to be there. Think loads of premium tequila, four stages of mariachi and Latino music, a Ballet Folklorico and authentic Mexican cuisine.

San Diego Festival of the Arts
Every year since 1986, the San Diego Festival of the Arts has showcased mesmerizing works by over 200 prestigious artists from around the nation. With a breathtaking view of the bay, the art exhibit displays original paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, mixed media and much more.
