No matter where you are (unless you’re already in Denmark, Norway or Sweden), a Scandinavian festival will have you feeling like a small slice of Northern Europe was removed and placed beneath your feet. These cultural heritage festivals focus on the ways of the people from Scandinavian and Nordic Countries. Festivals such as the Scandinavian Midsummer Feast in East Harptree, United Kingdom, will make you fall in love with Scandinavian fare, while others such as the Midsommar at Old World Wisconsin in Eagle, Wisconsin, will give you a hands-on Swedish history lesson. That being said, if there’s a Scandinavian festival nearby, it’s a good idea to visit.
