Israel, the birthplace of three of the world’s largest religions, is an eclectic mesh of cultures and histories that have spanned millennia. As the Jewish capital of the world, many festivals here celebrate cultural rituals. Major Christian and Islamic festivals are observed as well. Not all festivals are hundreds of years old. You can watch films at the Jewish Film festival. You can shake your hips at the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival. You can get real weird at the Deep Sea Rave Festival (glow sticks not provided).
