Festivals in Malaysia are often vibrant and always an incredible sight. The focus of festivals here is religion, tradition and culture. Thaipusam, a festival widely celebrated across southeast Asia, celebrates the God Murugan. Attendees offer sacrificial burdens to gain blessings in a spectacle of color and body piercing. Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist festivals are prevalent and display the wonderful diverse people of Malaysia.
