Comedy Central's Clusterfest returned to San Francisco, California, this past weekend for its second year, offering an unparalleled mix of world-class comedy, sizzling sets from rock, pop and hip-hop stars, immersive environments, and the Bay Area's signature mouth-watering cuisine.
Taking place in the heart of the city next to San Francisco's stunning City Hall building, comedians performed on various stages within Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and outdoors in Civic Center Plaza, ranging from intimate to large-scale. Musical stars rocked audiences exclusively outdoors, with performances punctuated by plenty of sunshine and toasty temps – a rarity for June in San Francisco. Attendees could visit wacky and creative attractions like The Daily Show's Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library, Nickelodeon's Double Dare game show, and Arrested Development's Bluth Frozen Banana Stand and Stair Car, while noshing on fried goodies and drinks from the recreated, returning Paddy's Pub from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, pizza from Whistlin' Willy's (actually SF's Little Star Pizza in disguise), Tweek Bros. coffee and donuts (Johnny Doughnuts in disguise), and other myriad culinary delights to fuel up between or during sets.
It's a one of a kind event that's setting a new standard for where music festivals and comedy festivals are going in the faster and faster-moving future. Enjoy scenes from Clusterfest's successful second year below.
