Each long weekend during the Australia Day national holiday, the small town of Lexton in regional Victoria swells from its sleepy population of around 150 to over 10,000 as festival-goers from around the world arrive for the annual Rainbow Serpent Festival , which has been lighting up the outback with psytrance, tech house, and bedazzled, dancing punters for 20 years.
There's something about Aussie punters that is simply effervescent. They're carefree and kind, un-preoccupied with festival personas and more concerned with self-expression and authenticity. All of that makes for an excellent vibe and some of the best personal festival style we've ever seen. Take in all of their natural beauty and breezy happiness in the portraits below, captured by the talented Francesco Vicenzi.
