This week-long celebration of Wayne County’s poultry heritage kicks off on September 5th with a bird-themed costume fun run at Well-Travelled Beer, and the week wraps up with an action-packed street festival from 10am-6pm on Saturday, September 9th. This year, there are exciting new additions! The Wayne County Cruisers are sporting one of the best car shows in the area. Plus, there’ll be a “cruise-in” show Friday night, Sept. 8th. Other new additions on Saturday include live animals, the PEEP Show Exhibit by Arts Council of Wayne County (don’t worry, it’s not as scandalous as it sounds!), Pig in the Park is joining Beak Week (yay for more BBQ!), percussion petting zoo, and the Justin West Band takes the main stage at 3:30pm! Throughout the week, there are more events you can participate in to show your poultry love! For the full line up of events and more info on Beak Week, visit beakweek.org, or follow us on Facebook!
