Atlanta Festivals 2024 - 2025 Calendar

About Atlanta

It’s time to get down and dirty in the Deep South. Atlanta (ATL, Hotlanta, etc.) is one of the most exciting cities in the country, yet newer generations are fascinated by its ever-popular crunk music scene. Rest assured that Lil Jon’s intricate lyricism doesn't speak for all of Atlanta, but it certainly demonstrates how much fun the Deep South can be. ATL’s massive, multicultural population accounts for the endless number of unique experiences one can have here. Best of all, Southern hospitality complements the impressive diversity no matter where you go; it’s this warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes Atlanta a great place to get your fest on. Locals rave about the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, while music fans flock to Music Midtown, both held in beautiful Piedmont Park. Other nationally recognized festivals include the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Atlanta Pride and the Academy Award-qualifying Atlanta Film Festival.

Top Atlanta Festivals

Atlanta Dogwood Festival
Piedmont Park
One of the most beautiful flowers in the southeast, it makes sense to have a whole festival that acknowledges the dogwood flower's aesthetic beauty. This local favorite features a renowned juried arts show, local eats from Atlanta restaurants and loads of children's activities. And, of course, the festival is surrounded by flowering dogwoods in peak season.

SweetWater 420 Fest
Centennial Olympic Park
You know them for making thirst-quenching favorites such as their 420 Extra Pale Ale, among others, and now there's an annual event to look forward to. SweetWater Brewing Company's 420 Fest is jam-packed with popular music performances, stand-up comedians, a 5k race, a corn hole tournament and tons of family fun every year.

A3C Hip-Hop Festival
Georgia Freight Depot
Hip-hop ain't dead in Atlanta. The A3C Hip-Hop Festival boasts incredible talent at the historic Georgia Freight Depot in downtown, featuring both legendary microphone slayers and up-and-coming artists alike. A conference is held in conjunction to help shape the future of hip-hop through various talks, entrepreneurial workshops and much more.

Atlanta Jazz Festival
Piedmont Park
This free, month-long jazz festival brings internationally acclaimed musicians and emerging artists to multiple venues throughout Atlanta. There are events all throughout the month of May, but it's the jazz showcase at Piedmont Park during Memorial Day weekend that gets people really excited.

Imagine Music Festival
Atlanta Motor Speedway
Although Atlanta is not known for being an EDM hotspot, Imagine Music Festival is one of the hottest EDM festivals in the country. Insane production values, wild costumes and some of the biggest names in the genre make Atlanta Motor Speedway come to life at the tail-end of festival season.

Grant Park Summer Shade Festival
Grant Park
Summers in the Deep South can be brutal, but there's no shortage of fun to be had at family favorites like the Summer Shade Festival. There's scores of live music entertainment, a huge art market with handcrafted treasures, a 5k run around Grant Park and tons of other activities.

Atlanta Food & Wine Festival
Midtown Atlanta
Prepare for the culinary journey of a lifetime in Midtown Atlanta. Renowned chefs, wine connoisseurs and other culinary experts whip up extraordinary recipes and pairings to please your ever-demanding taste buds. Hop around to special dinners, tasting tents and whoever else will feed you.

Over 300,000 people come to Piedmont Park in Atlanta to hear their favorite music acts. Whether you dig funk, electronic, grunge, hard rock, hip-hop or virtually any other genre, you'll likely hear it across one of the four stages here.

Atlanta Pride Festival
Piedmont Park
As the largest LGBT celebration in the Southeast, you can expect a loving and accepting community at the Atlanta Pride Festival. Two days' worth of live music performances, a massive pride parade and a marketplace with over 200 vendors makes this one of the most exciting pride festivals in the country.

Atlanta Film Festival
Multiple Locations in Atlanta
It's one of the longest-running film festivals in the country and one of the few that is Academy Award-qualifying. Over 25,000 filmmakers and enthusiasts come to Atlanta to watch more than 150 films from a variety of genres on the silver screen. Beyond film screenings, there are screenplay readings, panel discussions and happy hours for all to enjoy.
